Amanda-Lina’s tips for shopping and frequently asked questions.

  • How do I know what styles to look for at the sale?

Before shopping in person, look at all the designer websites & bridal magazines. They have excellent photographs of all their current styles. Decide in advance what type of gown you prefer. A-line? Princess? Sheath? Mermaid? Spaghetti Straps? Keeping in mind that most bridal gowns run small, so you’ll need a size or two larger than what you normally wear.

  • What do I wear to come to the sale?

Wear comfortable shoes and a bodysuit.
Do you carry different sizes at the sale?
Yes unlike most bridal stores we carry sizes from 6 to 30 at the sale, although the majority of our sizes will be 8 to 14.

  • What if I like a dress and it’s not my size?

Every wedding dress needs alterations to fit precisely to your frame. You’ll probably have at least two to three dress fittings, which you’ll schedule with the store, so leave ample time before the wedding.
A good seamstress will have no trouble altering a gown that is too large.
Don’t be afraid to try on a dress that isn’t exactly what you had in mind. You may be surprised once you see the gown on you instead of on a hanger. Be patient. As more brides-to-be either find their perfect dresses or give up, there will be additional gowns to try.

  • Can I take photographs of the dresses?

We only allow photographs of the dress you choose to purchase.

  • Whom do I bring?

You should bring at least two close friends/family  to help find dresses and assist you in deciding which gown is the perfect one.

This is the event we just came back from.
It was fourth annual Enzoani Fashion event in downtown Los Angeles that entertained over 120 retailers from around the world, media and celebrities. The three day long event was full of cocktail parties, amazing dinners and ultimately the unveiling of 2011 Enzoani Collections and North American debut of the Holland bridal line, Modeca.

Amanda-Lina’s Bridal Boutique was among the first retailers to hear about a launch that is destined to revolutionize the bridal industry: prospective brides will now be able to buy a range of gowns designed by well-known American designers at a mid-level price point that speaks to the fastest growing price segment in the industry.

In offering bridal collections from well-known American designers at affordable price points, Designer Bride stands at the forefront of a radical paradigm shift in the bridal business model. This shift marks a turning point: Instead of the traditional style of buying unknown designers who specialize in bridal wear, the new fashion-conscious bride will now be able to buy world-renown designers, and now have their individual ready- to-wear style translated to a bridal aesthetic.

In June, Designer Bride presented, for the first time ever, the new bridal collections by famed designers:

ANGEL SANCHEZ (Angel Collection)
CARMEN MARC VALVO
DAVID MEISTER
LILLY PULITZER

Amanda-Lina’s Bridal Boutique was selected to be one of a small group of fine bridal fashion retailers who was invited to preview the collection and witness history in the making.

Designer Bride launch was a tremendous success and we were very excited to be a part of it. For the first time, brides will have a chance to buy wedding gowns designed by well-known ready to wear designers at prices that generally range from $1500 to about $3500 (retail price).
