Your wedding photos are something that you’ll keep for the rest of your life. But every bride worries that she won’t look her best in them. Here are a few tips for making sure that you look great in your wedding photos.
First off, when you choose your dress, make sure you get one that is great quality. A designer dress will look much better in photos than a cheap knock off will. With the quality of camera your photographer will be using, the flaws on a bad quality dress will show up.
Second, make sure the dress you choose fits you properly. An ill-fitting dress can make you look uncomfortable and is a big culprit in creating the dreaded back fat ridge. Don’t worry about the size on the label, as bridal sizing is much different than regular dress sizing. Your Ontario bridal salon will match you to the right size based on your actual measurements.
Finally, choose a dress you love. Being in a dress you enjoy being in, and want to be seen in, will show on your face and posture. This will instantly make you look better in your photos!

Casual weddings are a popular choice for Ontario brides, but you can’t just choose any wedding dress. Many styles simply aren’t right for a less formal wedding. Depending on your venue, a more formal style might not be practical. However, you don’t need to wear something that isn’t bridal. Here are a few tips for choosing a relaxed wedding dress style.
The silhouette you choose should flatter your figure. A casual dress doesn’t have to be any specific style, so be sure to try on a few different styles to find the right one.
You can also consider other colors. For more casual weddings, a pastel colored gown might be the perfect choice. Mint green, pale blue, and blush are all great choices that are very on trend.
Shorter styles can also be a great way to dress for your relaxed wedding. They are great for dancing and give an immediate impression of fun.
Whatever style you choose for your relaxed wedding, you’ll want to work with a bridal salon with expert bridal consultants. For Ontario brides, make your first stop Amanda-Lina’s Sposa Boutique for a great selection of gowns!

After you’ve found your gown, you’ll need to find the perfect gowns for the rest of your bridal party. While you might have your eye on a few styles, you might be concerned about the etiquette of choosing bridesmaids dresses.
Who pays for the dresses?
This is always a big question. In general, it is expected that the bridesmaids will pay for their own dresses. Because of this, it can be a good idea to find out what sort of budget they have for the dress, and work out any financial concerns before you begin choosing a dress.
Can maids veto a dress?
This depends on how involved you want them to be. As the bride, you do have the ultimate say in what bridesmaid dress is worn at your wedding, but it doesn’t hurt to get their input. When you look for dresses, your maids should come with and be able to honestly weigh in on what they prefer.
Do they have to be identical?
No, and more brides are opting for styles that allow different looks. This can be a matter of choosing the same color and fabric for all the dresses, but allowing maides to choose different styles, or choosing a multi-way style that can be worn in various ways. Offering different but coordinating styles can be a great choice if your maids have different body shapes and might not all fit the same style.

The celebrity wedding season has truly kicked off, with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tying the knot in Italy at the end of last month. While there are plenty of fantastic details that brides can bring into their own weddings, one of the stand-out elements of their big day was Kim’s gown.
The reality star wore a custom-made Givenchy gown, created for the bride by the designer’s creative director. While the designer of the gown wasn’t a surprise, there were some surprises when it came to the gown itself.
Kim’s gown featured a surprisingly modest high neckline and long lace sleeves. However, this was paired with diamond-shaped cut outs at the waist and a plunging illusion back. The overall look was a sexy update of the much-loved dress worn by Kate Middleton.
For brides looking for their own gown, Kim’s dress can be an inspiration in a few ways. The long lace sleeves are a popular design choice, as is the lace-detailed illusion back. Both of these elements are available in many different designs. The high neck and low back combination is also a great look for brides who want to show some skin but still have some modesty.
