How do I know what styles to look for at the sale?

Before shopping in person, look at all the designer websites & bridal magazines. They have excellent photographs of all their current styles. Decide in advance what type of gown you prefer. A-line? Princess? Sheath? Mermaid? Spaghetti Straps? Keeping in mind that most bridal gowns run small, so you’ll need a size or two larger than what you normally wear.

What do I wear to come to the sale?
Wear comfortable shoes and a bodysuit.

Do you carry different sizes at the sale?

Yes unlike most bridal stores we carry sizes from 6 to 30 at the sale, although the majority of our sizes will be 8 to 14.

What if I like a dress and it’s not my size?

Every wedding dress needs alterations to fit precisely to your frame. You’ll probably have at least two to three dress fittings, which you’ll schedule with the store, so leave ample time before the wedding.

A good seamstress will have no trouble altering a gown that is too large.
Don’t be afraid to try on a dress that isn’t exactly what you had in mind. You may be surprised once you see the gown on you instead of on a hanger. Be patient. As more brides-to-be either find their perfect dresses or give up, there will be additional gowns to try

With New Year’s Eve just a week away, it can only mean parties and some celebrations. If you were invited to a formal event for New Year’s Eve, it’s important that you know how to dress for the occasion. After all, you can’t go to the venue wearing casual looking clothes and expect people to talk to you. For this, you will have to look for a good eveningwear option and make sure you’re dressed well.

Here are some tips on how to look great in eveningwear attire:

Tip #1: Don’t be afraid to try something new
When choosing your eveningwear, don’t be afraid to try something new. This is because you’ll never know how good you look unless you try the dress. While a black dress is a foolproof option, you can try out a piece in a bold color to see how well it fits.

Tip #2: Wear the right underwear
Make sure that you wear the right underwear with your eveningwear. Check to see that there are no visible panty lines or bra straps. Also, skip the backless dress if you have a cup C bra size. Despite the option of wearing of a backless bra, you won’t get the support you need for the dress to look nice.

Tip #3: Choose an evening bag of the same color
Evening bags are usually clutches or small purses that you can use to accompany your dress. The basic colors of evening bags include black, silver, or gold. You can go for any of these colors, as long as they match your dress.

Tip #4: Don’t overdo your accessories
Go for a staple option when accessorizing for eveningwear. This means you should wear classic pieces like a pearl necklace, a gold chain with a simple pendant, or even a silver necklace. Simplicity is elegance when it comes to eveningwear.

By following these tips, you can look great in the eveningwear you chose for the New Year’s Eve party you’re attending. Check out our website for some eveningwear pieces that you can use.

Ever since Kate Middleton wed Prince William in April 2011, people have become interested in Fascinators; so much so that it has become a trend in several weddings. If you’ve become a fan of this trend as well, you may be considering asking your guests to join you in wearing one. The question is, is it appropriate?

First things first, a Fascinator is not a hat. It is simply a small headpiece worn generally on the right portion of the head. Most of the time, its base is from a headband, clip, or a comb attached with ribbons, beads, and feathers to make it look appealing. For this specific reason, it is not considered a hat. Also, the role of the hat is to cover the entire head. A Fascinator simply does not fulfill this purpose.

While many people think a Fascinator does not require too much thinking, you can actually have your guests wear it to a themed wedding. But you will have to practice etiquette when wearing one. For example, if a Fascinator is so intricate that it is so high, you may not be able to let other guests see the ceremony. This is something you need to consider if you wish your guests will wear a Fascinator.

There are so many people who have already followed the trend of having someone wear a Fascinator for a wedding. If you are interested in this too, you will need to inform your guests at an early time. This is so they can prepare for it. You may also state your concern about following etiquette for your other guests. When you do this, your guests will enjoy a very trendy and romantic wedding!

If you are thinking of wearing a Fascinator for your wedding day, make sure you pair it with the right dress. You may check out our selection of bridal dresses for one that you can use.

Are you worried about how your wedding dress will look on the big day? Bothered by the thought on whether or not your dress will be overly accessorized? This is why you should follow these tips on how to accessorize your bridal gown:

Theme – One of the things you have to be careful about when planning your wedding gown is to identify what your theme is. This is because if you are unable to identify what the theme of the wedding is, there is a possibility that you will just keep on buying accessories that you think will work with the gown. Make sure that you recognize when too much is already enough. Certainly, if you are going for a classic look for your wedding, you shouldn’t overly accessorize yourself.

Mix and Match – Before you decide which accessory to use with your bridal gown, it is important that you try on a few options. This way, you can see if there is something that would look better than the other. Make sure that you don’t choose different jewels other than the ones you already chose.

The best way to really choose an accessory for your bridal gown is to try on different pieces. When you do, you can take a photo of the ensemble so that you can see whether or not it mixes well with the dress. If it makes the dress look too busy, you should opt for another option instead. Remember that when accessorizing with a wedding dress, less is more.

When it comes to accessorizing on your wedding day, you have to make sure that you do not over-accessorize yourself. This is because you won’t be able to make a good impression if you do not mix your dress properly with your accessories. At the same time, you will have to consider using real jewels instead of fake ones. Your wedding day is a special event in your life. Do you really want to be photographed wearing a fake, plastic bracelet?

Nowadays, there are wedding dresses that come with a number of embellishments on them. If you are not careful, you might over accessorize when you add another necklace or bracelet with the dress. You have to make sure that if the upper portion of your dress has enough embellishments, you should leave it alone. Otherwise, the spotlight will no longer be on you but on your accessories.

An option for using accessories is that you wear the ones that are part of your family heirloom; if you have any. This is because these jewels will make your wedding day more memorable. At the same time, you will be wearing something timeless; just like what you would like to look like on your big day.

The saying that you need to wear ‘Something Old, Something New’ can be applied on your wedding accessories. You can borrow something from your mother’s jewelry box or hair accessories and use it with your wedding gown. You can also buy something new and use it then. The important thing is that there is a mix between the two.

You may want to take a look at our selection of wedding dresses so you can find one that may be a good fit for your big day.

People may think of full length gowns when they think of wedding dresses, and while this might have traditionally been the case, people are now a lot more flexible. An increasingly popular trend for wedding dresses, particularly in the summer, are tea length wedding dresses.
A tea length dress can vary in style and length a bit, but generally they fall to between the bottom of the knee and the bottom of the calf. They are a good length for prom dresses, but can also be very glamorous for wedding dresses as well, and can be just as ‘wedding-y’ as a full length gown.
There are a number of advantages practically speaking; they are easier to move and dance in, they take less fussing with for photos and if the weather isn’t ideal they won’t trail and potentially get wet. They can also be breathtakingly beautiful with layers to make it stand out and can be very flattering. If you are looking for something a bit different for a wedding dress, look into a tea length dress for as much glamor with a vintage or modern twist.
