One of the biggest parts of any bride’s wedding planning is finding the perfect dress. This can be a challenge for any woman, but some styles will flatter your shape more than others. Being prepared to narrow the search down can be a huge help and save you lots of frustration.

If you have great legs, consider a dress that shows them off. Cocktail length dresses are more popular than ever, and many designers are including at least one shorter skirt in each collection. Another leg-revealing trend is the waterfall skirt, with a shorter hemline in the front and a longer train behind.

For well-toned arms, you don’t need to go completely sleeveless to show them off. Sleeves with slits, lace sleeves, and short sleeves can all flaunt your arms. A sleeveless or strapless dress can also be worn with an armband, giving a bit of bling to your best asset.

Whatever your shape or style preference, we’re happy to help you find the perfect dress for your wedding. Get in touch today to get more great advice on finding your ideal wedding gown.

An article I wrote for Today’s bride magazine recently stressed to brides the importance of buying their gowns from either the dress designer’s own website or from a high street wedding store where you can physically SEE and FEEL your dress.

This is because there is an increasing number of counterfeit sites duping brides into buying something that looks like the Real McCoy but when it arrives is sadly very much inferior. Many of these sites are from overseas-based suppliers (particularly in China and other parts of the Far East).

The scams have gotten so bad that the wedding industry, represented by
ABPIA , has recently lodged a complaint against 50 such alleged counterfeiters and piracy websites in a New York court. It was filed on behalf of more than 20 of the top manufacturers including Maggie Sottero, Mon Cheri, Mori Lee and Essence of Australia.

Really, as I mentioned at the start of this article, the only way to guarantee good workmanship in a gown which also comes in the fabric you were promised, is to do business with a registered wedding trader in a store which stocks designer gowns.

The very seductive keyhole back is right on trend, too, as is a mix of Chantilly lace, billowing clouds of tulle and pretty lace. How romantic in the extreme!

And how we love the oh-so-sexy illusion neckline. That touch of see-through lace will always be a winner with us here at Amandalinas.

What’s that – you love the peplum? Yes, we know, for some figure’s it’s just fantastic. We like it too and are glad to see it’s mellowed slightly and gone a bit looser. We’re all happier with that!

Despite what others are reporting the vintage and boho look is still in. If you want leaves, butterflies and have a hankering to parade down the aisle barefoot then we’re right behind you. It’s your day honey!
